The FACE Boosters

The chair of the FACE Boosters is Denton Stokes. Click on his name to send him an email. Mr. Stokes has vast experience in every capacity of education in Fairfax County. He is a product of Fairfax County Public Schools. He was an exemplary teacher in Fairfax County for 30 years. His children attended and graduated from FCPS.

  • Parents - Parents are the most influencial group of any educational issue in a locality. You are the voice that the government needs to hear.

How Boosters can be a part of

The FACE Strategy

  • Email, fax, phone call and Letter Writing campaigns/blitzes
    • Each Parent needs to contact the Principal of your child's school, your School Board Representative, Board of Supervisors, your Elected Officials
  • Inform Supporters of Important Dates and Facts
    • We need Music Boosters, Band Boosters, Choral Boosters, Orchestra Boosters, Drama Boosters, etc.... to communicate information about these key meetings throughout your pyramids and across pyramids
  • Please send Sample Letters, Emails and Faxes to the General Face Email faceadvocacy@gmail.com - We will post them on this Site for others to use.
  • Handing out Postcards, Flyers and Leaflets at music events
    • This task will uniquely be tasked to parents and students because FCPS employees will not be allowed to do this
  • Recruit Speakers for School Board and Board of Supervisor Budget Hearings
    • Fairfax County is an amazing resource of influencial speakers whose children are involved in our Performing Arts groups. We need you to represent us at School Board Meetings and Public Hearings - See the Calendar
  • Organize and Assemble large groups of supporters to Attend School Board and Board of Supervisor Hearings, Meetings, Town Hall Dialogs
    • We have to take the time to gather at Public Hearings and School Board Meetings - Even if you Don't Speak at it! Strength in numbers!
    • It would be great if we could coordinate with the same T-Shirt
